Arifa’s death widely condoled in Pakistan
Lahore: The Youngest Microsoft certified Arifa Kareem’s death has widely been condoled in the Pakistan.
Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari
and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gialni, in their separate condolence
messages, expressed deep sense of grief and sorrow over the death of the
youngest software engineer of the world.
Meanwhile, politicians including former
President Pervez Musharraf, PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif, Jamat e
Islami chief Syed Munawar Hassan, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz
Sharif, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, Khursheed Shah, Senator Hasil Bazinjo,
PML-Q President Shujjat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Arbab Alamgir,
Fiza Batool Gilani, Islamuddin Sheikh and others expressed their shock
over the death of the Arifa.
They remarked, Arifa Karim was a
talented daughter of Pakistan who enlightened the country in the entire
world through her God gifted abilities in her early age.
They said whole nation shared the grief of Irfa Karim’s parents and family.
They also prayed that may Allah Almighty
rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength
to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with
fortitude.

World’s youngest Microsoft certified passes away in Lahore
LAHORE : The Youngest Microsoft
certified Arifa Kareem passes away at the Combined Military Hospital in
Lahore, TV channels reported on Saturday night.
She became the world s youngest MCP in 2003 at the age of 9.
Sixteen-year-old Arifa s funeral prayer
will be offered at three different places on Sunday at 10am in
Canttonment area of Lahore, her family was quoted as saying. Her body
will be shifted to hometown of Faislabad.
She remained in intensive care unit at
Combined Military Hospital (CMH) after suffering an epileptic seizure
and cardiac arrest a few weeks ago.
However, she had then miraculously responded to certain stimuli, as recently as January 14.
Aarifa s father, retired Lieutenant
Colonel of army Amjad Karim Randhawa said she had shown the sign of life
when her foot was stimulated. Her toes curved slightly downward when
her foot was tickled, he said, adding that earlier she had exhibited the
Corneal Reflex, whereby her eyes blinked a few times.
Arifa, 16, is a daughter of retired Lt. Colonel of Pakistan army.
She was invited by Bill Gates to visit
the Microsoft headquarters in the USA when she was only 10-year-old. In
August 2005, Arifa was also awarded the Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal in the
field of science and technology by then Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
Arifa had also received the Salaam Pakistan Youth Award again in 2005 set up by Pakistan s only Nobel laureate Dr Abdul Salam. She is also the recipient of the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance.

Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over
the death of the youngest software engineer of the world, Irfa Karim
Randhawa.
In a condolence message, CM remarked
that Irfa Karim was a talented daughter of Pakistan who enlightened the
country in the entire world through her God gifted abilities in her
early age. He said that the whole nation shared the grief of Irfa Karim s
parents and family.
He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest

Child prodigy: Aarifa Karim loses race for her life
LAHORE: Aarifa Karim Randhawa, the
worlds youngest Microsoft certified professional lost the battle for her
life after suffering from heart failure, her paternal uncle confirmed
on Saturday.
On December 22, Aarifa was admitted to
Lahore’s CMH hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. On December 29,
doctors said there was no hope for her survival, and that her life
support could be switched off ‘at any time’.
However, she had then miraculously
responded to certain stimuli, as recently as January 14. Aarifa’s
father, Amjad Karim Randhawa had said that she had shown the Plantar
Reflex when her foot was stimulated. “Her toes curved slightly downward
when her foot was tickled,” he said, adding that earlier she had
exhibited the Corneal Reflex, whereby her eyes blinked a few times.
Doctors had said that her brain had shown activity over the past four days, making minor improvements.
AHORE: Funeral prayer for Arfa Karim,
the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), were
offered in Lahore and Faisalabad, Geo news reported.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif
among various political leaders, officials of armed force and large
number of people attended the funeral.
On Saturday, Arfa lost the battle of
life after remaining admitted in Combined Military Hospital. Arfa Karim
was only sixteen years old.
Arifa Karim remained in intensive care
at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) after suffering an epileptic seizure
and cardiac arrest a few weeks ago. After battling for life for 26
days, one of Pakistan’s brightest brains left this world for good.
Born in 1995, Arfa Karim got the honor
of World’s Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional when she was only 9
years old in 2004. Bill Gates, the Chairman of Microsoft, invited Arfa
to visit the Microsoft Headquarters in the USA in the age of 10 only.
Later, in August 2005, Arfa was also
honored by the Pakistan Government for the Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal in
the field of Science and Technology which she received from then Prime
Minister Shaukat Aziz.
She was also honored with Salaam
Pakistan Youth Award in 2005 which has been set up by Pakistan’s only
Nobel laureate Dr Abdul Salam. Moreover, Arfa has won the Presidential
Award for Pride of Performance
Arfa Karim Randhawa died in Lahore and buried in Faisalabad
Arfa Karim Sung a song, “Yeh Watan
Tumhara Hay Tum ho pasbaan is kay”, “This country is yours and you are
the soldiers of this land”
